The Great Outdoors

Our family camp in Lake Placid, NY was right at the beginning of the Adirondack Loj Road. It made the high peaks of New York accessible to me at a young age. Mount Jo, was the first Mountain I ever hiked. From that point forward I’ve always held a deep connection with the natural world. I grew up hiking, fishing, camping and canoeing in the Adirondacks; hiking to Marcy Dam, fishing for trout in the Ausable River, and canoeing Lake Clear with Pops, my Grandad. Looking back, having the High Peaks of New York as my playground shaped me. Not only my interests but also my values. I’m grateful to have been so lucky.
